Composer for Concert and Media Music

Who am I?

Between Beethoven, the Beatles, and Bobby Lapointe, I grew up in a decidedly eclectic musical world. Coming from a family of musicians — a violinist father and a flutist sister — I was immersed in the Western classical tradition from an early age. Yet around the age of fourteen, the electric guitar became an obvious choice for me, and it remains a central driving force in my relationship with music to this day.

This dual foundation, rooted both in amplified music — from metal to contemporary styles — and in classical composition, forms the basis of my musical language. I studied musicology at university, where I received formal training in composition and musical writing, before further developing my craft with composers such as Éric Tanguy, Jean-Philippe Bec, and Stuart McRae. Holding a Master's degree in Musicology, five music diplomas, and two state teaching qualifications, I now divide my time between teaching at a conservatory and working professionally as a composer and arranger.

In 2024, I was selected as a recipient of the AFEEV commission program, which gave me the opportunity to collaborate with leading artists and ensembles, including Renaud Capuçon and the French Republican Guard Orchestra.

My musical language is characterized by a fundamentally modal approach, inherited from my background as a guitarist, and by a strong thematic dimension, drawing in particular from the tradition of Beethoven. My harmonies, often highly expressive, are influenced by Scriabin, while my rhythmic and formal explorations engage with the aesthetics of Reich and Stravinsky. Throughout my work, I seek a constant balance between intellectually demanding music and a direct, almost visceral emotional intensity.

Haunted by a sense of the absurdity of existence, I see artistic creation as an act of constructing meaning. My music explores solitude, emptiness, and the harshness of the human condition, while seeking to bring forth joy, surprise, wonder, and, at times, ecstasy.

Driven by a commitment to authenticity and a form of inner rebellion, I strive to create music that feels like an adventure — an experience capable of prompting reflection, rekindling the will to confront life's difficulties, and inspiring each of us to move beyond our darker passions and become freer, more inspired, and more fully alive.
